Actress Fran Drescher claims to have been abducted by aliens while she was in junior high.
She also says that the aliens implanted a chip inside of her hand and programmed her to meet her ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson, who inspired her TV series Happily Divorced.
“You know, it’s funny because Peter and I both saw [aliens] before we knew each other, doing the same thing, driving on the road with our dads,” she says. “We were both in junior high.”
Years later, they met and swapped abduction stories.
“We realized that we had the same experience. I think that somehow we were programmed to meet,” she says, pointing out a small scar that was left on her hand. “We both have this scar. It’s the exact same scar on the exact same spot.”
Jacobson doesn’t share her opinions, however.
He thinks Drescher, 53, got the scar from a drill bit or is a burn from a hot beverage.
“I said to him, that’s what the aliens programmed us to think,” Fran explains. “But really, that’s where the chip is.”
The actress’s representative has yet to make an official statement on the alien abduction claims.
Happily Divorced was renewed for a second season in 2011 with TV Land ordering another 12 episodes of the comedy, set to begin airing on March 7, 2012.
The show was inspired by Drescher’s real-life marriage to Jacobson, who came out as gay after their divorce in 1999.
