It looks like it’s almost official. Last week, Fox registered the domain name ConanOnFox.com.
Right now, the domain name redirects you to a “Conan on Fox” Twitter account, which currently shows just one tweet (below).
In related news, Conan O’Brien is getting a $32.5 million settlement deal from NBC, and in return, Conan can’t host another show until fall (September).
O’Brien will likely never see that $32.5 million as, under the terms of the deal, any money Conan makes during the duration of his contract period with NBC must go to offset the network’s compensation.
In other words, should Fox land Conan and offer him $20 million during NBC’s contract period, O’Brien would really only get $12.5 million from NBC.
Stay tuned. The plot thickens.
