It looks like hackers never take a day off, even on the 4th of July.
A group of hackers who call themselves Scriptkiddies has hacked into a Fox News Twitter account and sent various tweets claiming that president Barack Obama has been assassinated.
The group took over the @foxnewspolitics account and boasted about the feat on several Twitter accounts.
After tweeting that Fox News Politics had regained the control of the account, they then tweeted messages claiming that President Obama shot and killed.
“BREAKING NEWS: President @BarackObama assassinated, 2 gunshot wounds have proved too much. It’s a sad 4th for #america. #obamadead RIP,” read one of the tweets.
So while Anonymous and LulzSec may be taking the day off, at least so far, it appears Scriptkiddies is hard at work trying to cause a panic.
No need for alarm here, folks. Nothing more to see.
