Is this what happens to disgruntled Yahoo engineers?
The Hindustan Times is reporting that Mohammed Peerbhoy, now being held in custody in Delhi for allegedly acting as the “media chief” for the Indian Mujahideen (a terrorist cell charged with the September ’08 bombing in the city), is actually a former Yahoo software engineer.
According to reports, Peerbhoy is charged with sending out Instant Message warnings just before the blasts tore through the city.
The piece claims that Peerbhoy learned “hacking skills” as part of a six-day seminar on information security in Hyderabad back in May of 2007. The seminar was given by the “E2 Labs’ School of Ethical Hacking.”
Yahoo reportedly paid about 70,000 Rupees (or about $1,349) for Peerbhoy to take the course. Oops.
