Now here's something you don't see every day. In fact, you may never see it again.
A weather forecaster in Oklahoma is predicting something strange: accumulating snow in all 50 states. In other words, there could actually be snow on the ground in all 50 states at the same time.
Patrick Marsh with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Severe Storms Laboratory says that a winter storm cruising through the southern states on Thursday and early Friday will likely deposit snow in the Deep South, even in some areas of the Florida Panhandle.
A rare winter storm warning is in effect in the region. The folks in Florida have got to love that.
Florida is currently the only state without snow on the ground at this point. There is currently even snow in Hawaii on some of the mountain tops.
Marsh isn't sure if anything like this has even happened before. It will be interesting to see what satellite imagery looks like with snow on the ground in the entire U.S. though.
