“What did you see?”
So goes the common mantra for followers of the ABC drama FlashForward. As it turns out, they won’t be seeing anything.
The show has been cancelled due to its low ratings.
Viewership fell from 12.47 million in September to just 4.77 million viewers during the most recent episode. Despite getting good initial reviews, the show’s ratings have been on a steady decline for several months now.
ABC had hoped the series would eventually replace LOST, but it never really even came close.
FlashForward follows the lives of several people after a “blackout” causes just about everyone on the planet to simultaneously lose consciousness for two minutes and seventeen seconds. While they were out cold, people saw what seemed to be visions of their lives in the future.
This was not the only series to get the axe from ABC. Scrubs, Better off Ted, and Romantically Challenged were also given the boot.
If SciFi is your thing, though, take heart…V was renewed by the network for another season!
