AnonymousThe Federal Bureau of Investigation today raided three New York-area homes where agents believed three members of the online hacker group known as “Anonymous” were living.

Investigators took at least one laptop from one of the residences. Police think the device may have been used in denial-of-service attacks against several large corporations.

Almost a dozen FBI agents descended upon the home of Giordani Jordan on Long Island), while other agents raided two homes in Long Island and Brooklyn.

“Anonymous” has claimed responsibility for online attacks against PayPal, Visa, and MasterCard in retaliation for these companies deciding to no longer transmit donations to WikiLeaks.

In June, Spanish authorities arrested three alleged members of the “Anonymous” collective in connection to attacks on Sony’s online PlayStation Network.
