Behold! The Divine Bovine!
A calf with a white cross on its forehead was born last week at a Rhode Island dairy farm.
The owner, Brad Davis, says he believes that the mark could be a divine message from above, but he’s not quite sure what that message could be.
The newborn calf is half Jersey, half Holstein. Local children in the neighborhood have name the cow Moses.
Ric Grummer, the chairman of the Department of Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison says that it’s not all that unusual for a Holstein calf to have white markings on its head.
He admits, however, that the cross shape is strange.
