Facebook has heard your criticism of their homepage redesign and has decided to cave in – a little.
In a new post on the Facebook blog, Christopher Cox reveals that we will soon see some changes on the site’s homepage.
Among the new features we’ll see will be live updates on the homepage stream. The homepage will now be truly real-time. Up until now, you could see real-time results but you had to refresh the page in order to see them.
Also, the feed will now include pictures that have been tagged from your friends to the feed. You will also be able to limit what items can appear in your stream from third party applications (thankfully).
Finally, the post explains that the Highlights section will now try to “mirror more closely the content that the earlier News Feed provided.”
It would certainly seem that Facebook is trying to appease its users, if only a little bit.
