shaker heights yearbookAnother day, another yearbook controversy.   This time, a student in Ohio was able to conceal a farewell message containing the F Bomb in the drawing of the mascot on the Shaker Heights yearbook cover.

This has administrators fuming as they have now had to suspend distribution of the yearbook.

Principal Michael Griffith penned a letter to students and their families last week, explaining that distribution of the yearbook had been halted due to the fact that “an obscenity was cleverly concealed in the cover artwork” (the student wrote “F ALL Y’ALL, which can only be seen when the book is turned upside-down).

I feel like we’ve seen this gag before somewhere, maybe it was in this book.

Regardless, the school performed a little “cosmetic surgery” to those yearbooks that had not yet been distributed.

The school has also offered to fix any books that have already been distributed, although it’s hard to imagine that anyone would have caught the offensive comment unless they were really looking for it.
