Last night during Grey’s Anatomy, we were “treated” to an extended, 5-minute preview of the new 2012 apocalypse movie.
The 2012 movie is based on a prophecy that the world as we know it will end in the year 2012. This Armageddon was predicted by the ancient Mayans, whose concept of time dates back to the sixth century B.C. and abruptly ends on December 21, 2012 and restarts at year 0.
The end of the last Mayan cycle (of 5125 years) went completely unnoticed, by the way.
In the movie, John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover and Woody Harrelson all try to survive a global apocalypse.
Is it just me, or is this preview completely over the top? I think will be one movie we can skip. Judge for yourself…
