Ervin Santana No Hitter 300x264It seems like sports headlines have dominated the news lately, and today is no exception.

Ervin Santana has done it. The Angels pitcher threw his first career no-hitter in a 3-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians this afternoon.

Santana was efficient, needing only 105 pitches to give the Angels their first complete-game, no-hitter since Mike Witt‘s perfect game at Texas in 1984.

The one run allowed aside, which was unearned, Santana was brilliant, striking out ten.

The final out came on a Michael Brantley fly ball to center field.
