Eric Wood of the Buffalo Bills broke his leg in the team's 18-15 defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The injury was so gruesome that CBS decided against showing the replay on television, according to several media outlets.
Wood, who weighs in at 310 pounds and stands 6-feet, 4-inches tall, was the 28th overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft.
He one of two starting lineman the Bills lost during yesterday’s game. Left guard Seth McKinney also had to leave the game due to injury.
Wood sustained a compound fracture of his left tibia AND fibula. He didn't accompany the team home, but was taken to a local hospital in Jacksonville for surgery.
