It’s that awkward moment when real life and the internet collide.
For some reason, KRQE news in Albuquerque thinks the popular internet meme Pedobear is an actual thing that’s coming to get local children.
“This is not simply dark humor, this is not a joke.”
Well, except for the fact that it is.
Clearly, even YouTube users are amused by this epic fail in news reporting.
“I love it when news stations are completely brain dead when it comes to the internet. Yes so pedobear is an organized network of pedophiles. Good work dumbf–ks,” says one commenter.
“This is like a South Park episode,” says another.
“‘Her derp it’s my job to sensationalize everything,’ Thanks, news outlets,” says a third person.
This is a classic moment in television journalism, ladies and gentlemen. I think these news reporters actually just trolled themselves.
Just wait until they start reporting on the epidemic of feline keyboard players.
