This is how you roll out your shiny new lights.
New York’s Empire State Building showed off its new LED lights by putting on its first ever “light show” on November 26, 2012.
The light show was synchronized to Alicia Keys‘ songs “Girl Is on Fire” and “Empire State of Mind.”
The lighting system, created by Philips Color Kinetics, can generate a whopping 16 million colors and create effects like ripples, bursts, sparkles, sweeps, cross-fades, chasers, and strobes.
This video was shot from Hoboken, NJ.
The music was played on the radio and simulcast on several local stations in NYC at the same time.
