Elton John is a mess. The flamboyant one is in a hospital in London getting treatment for both an E. coli bacterial infection and the flu, forcing him to postpone his Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon tour dates dates with Billy Joel.
He obviously didn’t have any Flu Immune on hand.
Elton John’s spokesman, Gary Farrow, said that Sir Elton, who is 62, was doing just fine despite being in the hospital and hoped to return to the tour soon.
John postponed a performance in Dublin on Thursday after earlier scrapping shows in London, Liverpool, Sheffield and Newcastle.
John and Joel have experienced a rash of bad luck lately, with the American portion of their tour delayed in July, when Joel, who is 60, was told get some rest after coming down with “flu-like symptoms” and “extreme fatigue.”
The gigs in the Pacific Northwest will probably be rescheduled for some time in December.
