Elizabeth Taylor Tweets about Heart Surgery

It’s nice to see some “more mature” celebrities embracing Twitter.

Elizabeth Taylor is checking into the hospital to have a heart procedure.

Taylor, 77, tweeted to her followers that she will undergo a “very new” procedure to improve her heart function that “involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device.” This is an impressive alternative to having open-heart surgery.

“Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate,” the actress tweeted on Tuesday, adding that she will update her 155,944 Twitter followers when she comes out of the procedure. She didn’t where she is having the procedure done.
