Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, has hired a divorce lawyer and the golfer himself has seemingly disappeared from the map.
It looks like Elin has hired L.A.-based attorney Sorrell Trope, 82, who is said to be “one of the pre-eminent family law attorneys in the United States”, with plenty of experience in dealing with big-name cases. In the past, he’s worked with Cary Grant, Nicole Kidman, and even Britney Spears.

A special “removal” entourage has also been seen taking boxes and packages, including artwork, from the Woods’ home in Florida, on orders from Nordegren.
“She’s made up her mind. There’s nothing to think about. He’s never going to change,” a source says.
She hopes to file for divorce in California, where community property could endure a more equitable settlement than in her home state of Florida. This could be tricky,however, as California law requires that at least one party must reside in the state for six months before any petition may be filed.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods, 33, has vanished. He hasn’t been seen since he left hospital on November 27 after his SUV crash.
Charles Barkley says he hasn’t been able to reach him, despite being close friends.
“He changed his number,” Barkley says. “I think when you have these fires in your life, as I call them, you need to talk to somebody else who is famous, who has been through things in your life.”
