Big news for LeAnn Rimes as she and Eddie Cibrian are officially engaged, according to her rep.
The happy couple spent the Christmas holiday at home in L.A. and they celebrated the news with their family and friends.
Rimes wrote about her new-found happiness on Twitter yesterday.
“Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It’s been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love,” she Tweeted.
Rimes, 28, and Cibrian, 37, were seen yesterday on a beach in Malibu and the country starlet was flashing a new engagement ring. The platinum ring features a 5-carat oval diamond set in rose gold fleur-de-lis.
The couple reportedly designed the engagement ring with Cibrian’s childhood friend, Brent Polacheck of Polacheck Jewelers.
Rimes and Cibrian met each other while filming the Lifetime movie “Northern Lights” in 2008. Both were married at the time, but Rimes later divorced from spouse Dean Sheremet, while Cibrian divorced from his wife, Brandi Glanville, so that he and Rimes could be together.
“I hate that people got hurt. But I don’t regret the outcome,” Rimes says of the way things turned out.
Rimes will become stepmother to Cibrian’s two children from his previous marriage.
