Doodle 4 Google kicked off earlier this year, and now the winner has been announced by Google.
Congratulations, Christin Engelberth, a sixth grader from San Antonio, Texas. Her artwork, called, “A New Beginning” will be featured on Google’s homepage for 24 hours on Thursday, May 21, 2009.
The piece expresses Christin’s wish that “out of the current crisis, discoveries will be found to help the Earth prosper once more.”
Christin gets a $15,000 college scholarship, a laptop, and a $25,000 technology grant for her school.
Congratulations are also in order for the three national finalists. They will each receive a laptop computer:
