dominos youtube video chargedThere is justice in the world.

If you recall, I predicted that if charges weren’t filed against the perpetrators of a truly gross Domino’s Pizza “prank”, the public outcry could potentially ruin the company.

I guess Domino’s executives must be Blippitt readers.  icon smile

Kristy Lynn Hammonds, 31, of Taylorsville and Michael Anthony Setzer, 32, of Conover have each been charged with distributing prohibited foods.

Police chief Gary Lafone says that the coupld was charged until the same set of North Carolina statutes that prohibit tampering with sweets on Halloween.

Domino’s spokesman Tim McIntyre stated that the two workers had been fired immediately and was quick to add that there is zero evidence that any of the tainted food was actually delivered to customers (a nice thought, but I doubt it).

McIntyre added that Domino’s is considering filing a lawsuit.

Domino’s CEO Patrick Doyle uploaded a video in response, stating the NC store had been wiped clean from “top to bottom.”

“We’re re-examining all of our hiring practices to make sure that people like this don’t make it into our stores,” he added.

Setzer was released from the Catawba County jail on $7,500 bond.  Hammonds remains in custody at this hour.  The disgusting couple is set to appear in court on Thursday.
