Disoriented Passenger MiamiAn American Airlines passenger described as “disoriented” had to be restrained today after his flight landed safely in Miami, according to the airline.

The man reportedly stood up in his seat in the main cabin as the plane taxied to the tarmac and refused to heed the crew’s instructions to sit down, American Airlines said in a prepared statement.

The passenger “moved toward the front of the aircraft where he was subdued,” the statement continued.

The unidentified man was turned over to Miami-Dade police who were called to Flight 320, which had departed from Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The plane landed 10:12 a.m. EDT, 13 minutes ahead of schedule.

The passenger tried to rush the cockpit and was had to be restrained by two other passengers before authorities finally arrived.
