Did Arturo Gatti Commit Suicide?

It now appears, according to a Arturo Gatti’s autopsy, that the former boxing champ was found "suspended and hanged, indicating he may have committed suicide."

Amanda Rodrigues Gatti, Arturo Gatti's wife, was later arrested as a suspect in the death but still claims to be innocent.  Gatti was found strangled in a Brazilian apartment with a purse strap around his neck after a night of binge drinking. were.

Now, however, the Coroner report on the death says that the initial findings would seem to indicate "accidental death, murder or suicide."  It goes on to mention that the knife wound found on the back of Gatti's head could "have occurred when the body fell to the floor."

Interesting.  So now it does sound plausible that the death may have been accidental.   Furthermore, Amanda Gatti's sister, Flavia, told reporters:

“She is fragile, young and skinny - how could she kill a boxing champion? When she awoke, she presumed he had committed suicide. But she had nothing to do with it.”
