WNBA star Diana Taurasi will appear nude on the cover of ESPN The Magazine‘s 2nd Annual Body Issue, which will hit shelves on Friday.
The Phoenix Mercury star’s will grace two magazine covers. One is shown above. The other shot shows a naked Taurasi posing with a basketball, with certain body parts strategically covered up.
Aside from Taurasi, a former star at the University of Connecticut, there will be five other cover athletes for this year’s Body Issue. We’ll get to see twelve members of the USA Water Polo Women’s National team, New York Knicks star Amar’e Stoudemire, U.S. World Cup goalkeeper Tim Howard, PGA Tour golfer Camilo Villegas, and Dutch wheelchair tennis player Esther Vergeer.
Other athletes featured in this year’s edition of the Body Issue include Venus Williams, San Francisco 49ers LB Patrick Willis, Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez, billiards player Jeanette “The Black Widow” Lee, Olympic skier Julia Mancuso, figure skater Evan Lysacek, surfer Kelly Slater, track and field athlete Rachel Yurkovich, volleyball player Kim Glass, and former NFL RB Herschel Walker.
Last year, ESPN’s first-ever Body Issue also featured six cover athletes, Serena Williams, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard, Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, NASCAR driver Carl Edwards, MMA star Gina Carano, and amputee track star Sarah Reinertsen.
