Detroit Insurance Agency Buys LAinsurance.com for $100,000

L.A. Insurance has bought the domain LAInsurance.com from NameMedia for $100,000.

As it turns out, L.A. Insurance is not based in Los Angeles.  The company has 150 locations and currently uses the domain name LAInsuranceAgency.com.

With 150 locations, the actual price equals about $133 per store for the next five years.  The company is actually based in Detroit and also runs a chain of cash advance stores.

The name servers for LAinsurance.com have not yet been updated but the whois record shows L.A. Insurance’s founder as the owner.
