Fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead in his home in London this morning, according to a spokesperson.
Early reports would seem to indicate that his death was a suicide, but an official cause of death has not been released.
McQueen was reportedly found hanged in his apartment. So far, it seems that the death will not be “treated as suspicious.”
The designer, 40, often designed outfits for celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna and even Prince Charles.
A representative for the renowned designer has issued a statement saying:
“At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with [McQueen's] family.”
