NBA star Delonte West, 26, was arrested on a three-wheeled motorcycle Thursday night.
West, a guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers, was driving a motorcycle north along I-95 near Route 214 in the Largo area…apparently, he was armed to the teeth.
He cut off a Prince George’s County police officer, who then pulled him over. West disclosed to the arresting officer that he had a handgun in his waistband. The officer then called for backup.
The ensuing search revealed three loaded weapons, a Beretta 9mm in his waistband, a Ruger .357 strapped to his leg and a shotgun in a guitar case.
West was charged with speeding and possessing the guns. He was later released on his own recognizance. Police state that West’s destination at the time of the arrest was unknown, nor is it known why he was carrying enough weapons to wage a small war.
