Hollywood gossip site Defamer is being consolidated into Gawker, the entity’s main gossip website. Defamer, now in its fourth year, will act as Gawker’s entertainment column.
The stories that focus on the movie industry will still be posted on Defamer.com, but the two sites will be staffed and managed as one. Confused yet?
The main Gawker website draws over three million visitors per month, which is four times higher than the audience it drew back in 2007.
Gabriel Snyder, Gawker’s managing editor, will now oversee Defamer.
