Saturday Night Live returned for a new season last night with host Amy Poehler, musical guest Katy Perry, and special guest star New York governor David Paterson.
Fred Armisen often performs in a skit where he portrays the governor, and his portrayal has been criticized by many for insulting the visually impaired.
At one point, Poehler stated that SNL was sorry for offending the politician.
Paterson snipped back, “You should be sorry. You have poked so much fun at me for being blind that I forgot I was black.”
