Someone just got grounded for life.
Gregg and Jaylene Christoffersen’s daughter, Dena, got a little overzealous with regard to her text-messaging habit. It seems her parents thought that the feature had been disabled on their daughter’s cell. It wasn’t.
Verizon sent them a bill for for $4,756.25.
During the time that Dena went through her text-messaging binge, her grades went from A’s – to F’s.
Gregg Christoffersen did what any good father would do in this situation – he hammered the phone to pieces. Fortunately, Verizon also trimmed the phone bill down to a more reasonable level.
It will be a long, long time before Dena sends another text message.
