Dante Wesley of the Carolina Panthers is in hot water this evening having leveled running back Clifton Smith of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an illegal hit. The hit came with just 10 seconds left in the first half.
In the video, you can clearly see Wesley slamming into Smith as he was waiting for the ball to arrive. Smith went down hard and needed medical attention.
The Dante Wesley hit began a brawl that officials had to break up before it got out of hand.
Wesley then got ejected from the game and could face suspension for the illegal hit.
