Here is a great tip from Darren over at ProBlogger.  Create a Twitter landing page.

What does that mean?  It means, create a separate page on your website or blog, OTHER than your homepage, that people will land on when they click on your link from Twitter.

Let's face it, on your home page, there might not be much going on other than maybe your most recent post.

If you create a separate Twitter page, you could put an "About" paragraph, an opt-in box, and a link to you most recent posts, for example.

As Darren recommends, this page should contain...

  • A prominent personal picture - the the same one as your Twitter avatar which hopefully reinforces the brand.
  • Your story - a very brief version of your blogging story - with a link where they can read an extended version
  • Introduction to your blogs - links to where people can read more of your content
  • A stronger introduction to your site
  • A call to follow you on Twitter and an introduction to what people get if they do
  • Introductions to your other projects

Take a look at Darren's Twitter landing page here.

So go make your own Twitter landing page and build your brand today.
