twitter murder jameg blake

An argument that erupted on micro-blogging site Twitter allegedly led to a murder last month.

In what could be an historic first, New York police may actually subpoena tweets that will then be used as evidence in the case.

Jameg Blake (pictured above), 22, is accused of shooting his childhood friend Kwame Dancy (pictured below), also 22, with a shotgun.  Blake shot Dancy in the neck.  He pleaded not guilty this past Wednesday.

The murder reportedly occurred in an apartment building on W. 132nd St. in New York on December 1.

Just hours before the shooting, Dancy seems to have taunted Blake with a tweet:

“N—–s is lookin for u don’t think I won’t give up ya address for a price betta chill asap!”

Blake tweeted some online venom himself, but only one tweet mentions Dancy by name: “R.I.P. Kwame” on Dec.3.

Both accounts seem to have been deleted by Twitter within the last couple of days.

A police source said the messages may be subpoenaed to bolster the theory that there was bad blood between the two friends.
