It seems that the folks over at Google read Blippitt. If you recall, yesterday we commented on the Big Bird Google Doodle and mentioned the following...
It's nice to see Google getting into the spirit of things, but personally, I would have liked to see Cookie Monster's eyes used in place of the "OO"s, but that's just me.
So today, imagine our surprise when we logged on to Google and saw the logo above.
It looks like Cookie Monster does, in fact, have "Googly eyes" after all. How did he predict that over 20 years ago (see video below for details)?
So now the lingering question seems to be whether or now Cookie Monster will morph into Veggie Monster over the coming months. The answer is simple. No, he won't. It's just a rumor that surfaced once Americans became more health-conscious, although he might not eat quite as many cookies these days. There will be no Veggie Monster.
Thanks for reading, Google. Now if I could only get an invitation to Google Wave. :-)
