CONFIRMED: Chris Henry Dead at 26

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry died on Thursday morning.

His death comes just one day after falling from the back end of a pickup truck during a domestic dispute with his fiance, Loleini Tonga, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police department.

“The domestic situation continued between the operator and Mr. Henry,” the police said in a prepared statement. “At some point while she was driving, Mr. Henry came out of the back of the vehicle.”

Authorities found Henry lying in the middle of the road about eight miles north of downtown Charlotte.

It is believed that homicide investigators were on the scene last night.

Henry was 26 years old.
