UPDATE: You can now see video of Conan’s injury here.

Conan O’Brien injured his head during the “Tonight Show” taping on Friday.

O’Brien hit his head while taping a stunt for Friday night’s show, according to multiple sources. He was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution, bringing the show’s taping to an end for the evening. NBC opted to air a repeat instead.

O’Brien is expected to be back to work on Monday. O’Brien issued a statement through NBC which indicates that the injury must not have been too serious:

“Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln, and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice.”

Guests that had been originally scheduled for Friday’s show include “Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher, “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane and musical guest Rodrigo y Gabriela.

No word yet on whether or not they will be re-booked for a later show.
