Cell phone footage has emerged from last night’s deadly shooting rampage in Colorado.
James Holmes, pictured, allegedly entered a movie theater for a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises,” in full SWAT-type ballistic gear, complete with helmet and gas mask.
This nut case then decided to open fire on the audience. In all, 71 people were shot – 12 of them fatally.
Holmes had also apparently taken the extra-thoughtful step of booby-trapping his apartment with explosives.
Ironically enough, the movie theater where this all went down is just 12 miles from Columbine High, where a similar massacre occurred in 1999.
Here’s an idea – if you want to be a whack job, stay in your house and put bullet in your own skull. Don’t go shooting up movie theaters.
Holmes is now in custody and President Obama has ordered all American flags to be flown at half-staff until July 25.
