As Kathy Griffin has yet to issue an apology for her live, on-the-air CNN f-bomb on New Year’s Eve, the network has stepped up to the plate and issued one on her behalf.
CNN producers issued a statement on Friday apologizing to viewers for Griffin’s “slip”, saying the network “regrets that profanity was used during our New Year’s Eve coverage”.
Griffin and Anderson Cooper were discussing the top stories of 2009 and brought up the Balloon Boy incident. Kathy Griffin then seemed to forget how to pronounce Falcon Heene‘s name and said “F–kin’ Heene.”
This prompted Cooper to call Griffin “terrible.”
Way to step up to the plate and accept responsibility for your actions, Kathy.
