The Philadelphia Phillies won Game One of the 2009 World Series by beating the New York Yankees 6-1. Pitcher Cliff Lee made some huge contributions to the cause with some fantastic pitching and defense.
C.C. Sabathia tossed seven impressive innings of 2-run ball, but even that paled in comparison to the nearly unhittable Lee.
