chuck biscuitsPunk drummer Chuck Biscuits died on Saturday after a long battle with throat cancer. He was 44 years old.

Chuck Biscuits was born Charles Montgomery in British Columbia, Canada.  He played with hardcore band D.O.A. before moving to California back in 1982 and becoming a member of Black Flag.  During his California days, he performed with the Circle Jerks, Fear, and the The Weirdos.

Later, Biscuits gained fame while playing for Danzig.  From 1988, he performed with that band for their first 4 stsudio albums.  He made another appearance on their 1993 Thrall: Demonsweatlive EP which produced the hit “Mother.”

Biscuits also performed with a number of different musical groups playing everything from punk to hip hop, spending time with Samhain, Social Distortion and Run D.M.C.
