Chris Brown and Drake Face Off in Bar Brawl

Police in New York are investigating a bar brawl that broke out between Chris Brown and Drake early Thursday morning at a Manhattan nightclub.

Brown apparently sent a bottle of Champagne to Drake’s table as an olive branch because the duo have had some ongoing issues.  Drake then allegedly sent the bottle back to Brown with a note attached that said he was still sleeping with Rihanna (Brown’s ex).

Brown’s bodyguard says the two rappers exchanged words, and, as Brown was leaving the SoHo club with his bodyguard, members of Drake’s entourage confronted him.

Witnesses say there was then a short stare-down between the two groups, and some pushing and shoving followed.

Someone in the crowd reportedly threw some ice, and then bottles were thrown.

Brown’s bodyguard was hit in the head and Brown was escorted out of the club.  Five others who were injured appeared to have no association with either singer.

There is no indication that either of them committed a crime of any sort.

A rep for Drake said in a statement that he “did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind” at the club. “He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began,” the statement said. “He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”
