TechCrunch reports that both MySpace and Facebook each have "tell all" books about themselves set to be released next year.

The first, set to be released around March 17, Stealing MySpace: The Battle to Control the Most Popular Website in America Celebrity Deathmatch: Facebook vs. MySpace in 09, by Wall Street Journal editor, Julia Angwin (preorder Celebrity Deathmatch: Facebook vs. MySpace in 09
).

The second is Fortune Senior Editor David Kirkpatrick’s, The Facebook Effect.

My initial reaction?  What are these "book" things of which they speak?  Never heard of them.
