Clowney, who wasn’t active last year after splitting the previous season between the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers, just got some more good news that he clearly just couldn’t wait to share with the world.

Apparently, he doesn’t have HIV, or hepatitis.

He sent a tweet yesterday stating:

“Got My HIV Results Back!! Thank God for keeping my body healthy and safe”

Gee, thanks for that, David.

Maybe let’s just stick to talking football.

The American hurdling star recently sat down with HBO’s Real Sports, where the Olympian revealed that she is a virgin and wants to wait until she’s married to have sex.

She also said that staying a virgin has been more difficult than training for the Olympics.

“It’s just something, a gift I want to give my husband,” Jones told Mary Carillo. “But please understand that this journey has been hard. There are virgins out there and I’m going to let them know, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Harder than training for the Olympics. Harder than graduating from college.”

Jones, 29, is seeking redemption this summer at the London Olympics, four years after coming up shy of the gold medal in the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

During her HBO interview, she said that holding onto her virginity makes dating more challenging and that she prefers Twitter for finding a boyfriend, as opposed to online dating sites.

Lolo Jones barely missed winning the gold in 2008, leading the race with two hurdles left – but she clipped the final hurdle, stumbled to the ground, and came in seventh.

“I messed up and it cost me the gold medal,” Jones said earlier this month. “The good thing about failure is that if you learn from them they can make you such a stronger person and there is not a day that has gone by that I have not thought about that race.”

Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd won the Mirror Ball trophy at the end of the Dancing with the Stars Season 14 finale last night.

The duo faced stiff competition from Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, who finished second.

William Levy and Cheryl Burke finished in third place.

All three couples earned a 30 for their final dance, but only Jenkins and Ballas had a perfect 90 out of 90 total after both Monday and Tuesday’s performances.

Those scores were combined with viewers’ votes, which counted for 50 percent of the final results.

This is Murgatoyd’s first win in just her second year on the show popular ABC show.

The next season of DWTS will feature contestants from past seasons.

Paterno’s widow, Sue Paterno, will receive an initial payment of $10.1 million at the end of this month, according to family spokesman Dan McGinn, four months the death of her husband at age 85 of lung cancer.  Joe Paterno was fired amid a child sex abuse scandal involving former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

Sandusky, 68, is now facing upwards of 52 counts of child molestation involving 10 boys over a period of 15 years. He is currently under house arrest.

At the time of Paterno’s dismissal from the school last November, students and alumni alike were upset about what they viewed as Penn State’s disrespectful treatment of “JoePa,” who as a Penn State coach won a record 409 total games and two national championships.

Paterno’s pension payments come in addition to a more than $5.5 million package his estate is getting from the university under his employment contract, including a $3 million “career bonus” that was due to be paid to him at retirement.

As head coach for 46 of his 61 years, Paterno earned the maximum salary for pension calculations.

“Joe Paterno’s situation is unique probably in the whole scale of public pensions because he served 61 years – the length of essentially two careers,” McGinn said.

Paterno never drew anything on his pension. His widow said she would make an additional $1.5 million in charitable donations on top of the over $7.5 million the couple had made throughout the years.

One of the wounded is in critical condition, while the other seven suffered non-life threatening injuries.

According to the Oklahoma City police captain, “Some girls got into it with a group of guys, and the guys opened fire on the women.”

A crowd of about 5,000 people had gathered outside the arena to watch Game 5 on big screens – but just moments after the Thunder eliminated the Lakers, things took a violent turn.

No arrests have yet been made.

Bowerman, daughter-in-law of Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, now admits that she made an error in judgment, but maintains she never had an inappropriate relationship with the student.

The coach reportedly only agreed to go with him because she felt bad since he didn’t have a date and was doing poorly in English.

“If they go on (academic) probation and suspension, then they can’t go to the track meets,” coach Melissa Bowerman said, according to the Associated Press. “I said, ‘OK, I will go with you, but we’ve got to talk about English first. You’re going to do better in English.”

Bowerman did get permission from Bob Thomas, the student’s father, before accompanying him to the dance.

“The first thing I thought, ‘Maybe this isn’t a good idea,’” Thomas said. “But Melissa has been like a surrogate mom to these kids for years.”

Boweman’s 73-year-old husband and co-coach Jon Bowerman said that if his wife isn’t allowed to come back to the team he may not either.

Coach Bowerman said the two danced to a few slow songs, but mostly just played ping pong and foosball at the prom.

Gilliam County Sheriff Gary Bettencourt, who received a complaint from a chaperone, said he has found no evidence indicating that coach Melissa Bowerman broke the law.

Newlywed bliss quickly turned bizarre for one Chicago couple this weekend. Beth and Tim Alberts tied the knot on Saturday and were trying to take pictures outside when they were interrupted by NATO Summit protesters near Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago. Laurer was making an appearance at the 2012 Exxxotica Expo to help promote Vivid Entertainment’s adult film parody of “The Avengers” in which she plays She-Hulk.

A Vivid representative was quoted as saying that the was worried about her after a medical scare the previous day as well, but Chyna insisted that she was just fine.

She apparently made it into the convention on Saturday, but passed out in the lobby and was taken to Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

Not only did she pass out at the convention, but Chyna was also booted out of a party on Thursday night for her unruly behavior, which included passing out in a swimming pool.

The move ended Van Gundy’s five-year tenure as head coach and Smith’s six-year stint as GM.

Van Gundy’s dismissal and Smith’s departure follow what may have been the most turbulent season in team history.  It was a season that started out with a trade request from star center Dwight Howard and was marked by tension between Howard and Van Gundy, as well as Howard and Smith.

Within the last few days, Magic CEO Alex Martins and Chairman Dan DeVos reviewed the performance of the organization’s whole basketball-operations department.

Even before the regular season drew to a close, many within the organization thought the only way the team could even hope to keep Howard was to part ways with Van Gundy and Smith.

“On behalf of the DeVos Family, we sincerely appreciate and thank Otis and Stan for all that they have done on and off the floor for the Orlando Magic,” Martins said today in a prepared statement. “These are the days you dread in this business, but we feel it’s time for new leadership and new voices.

“The disappointment of getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs these past two seasons played a primary role in our decision, as we feel our momentum towards winning a championship has paused.”

A baseball jersey once worn by the baseball legend sold for over $4.4 million Sunday, making for a sports memorabilia record.

SCP Auctions said the 1920′s-era New York Yankees uniform top is the earliest known jersey worn by Babe Ruth and it fetched $4,415,658 at the company’s April auction, which ended yesterday. The whopping price broke the previous record of $4,338,500, which set in 2010 for James Naismith’s founding rules of basketball.

Lelands.com says it nabbed the winning bid for the jersey, which had previously been on display at The Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum here in Baltimore, Maryland. The jersey has “New York” written across the front and the Hall of Famer reportedly wore it just after he was sold to the Yankees by the Boston Red Sox for $100,000 following the 1919 season.

Suzan French, a spokeswoman for Lelands.com, said the company now plans to resell the jersey privately, as opposed to re-auctioning it.

“Such a spectacular piece will find a home with one of our private clients who truly appreciates its historic significance,” Lelands.com president Michael Heffner said in a statement.

I’ll Have Another entered the race with 3-1 odds, behind favorite Bodemeister with 2-1 odds.

Bodemeister took an early lead and stayed ahead for most of the 2012 Preakness, but on the home stretch, I’ll Have Another broke free, charging up the side and past Bodemeister to score a dramatic win.  It almost looked as if the other horses were moving in slow motion!

Bodemeister came in second and Creative Cause took third.

“I have to say there was a point where I didn’t think we were going to get there,” said I’ll Have Another owner J. Paul Reddam.

“Bodemeister was running his guts out. It was a fantastic race. I didn’t feel confident we were going to get there until about 10 yards from the wire.”

The 3-year-old colt stunned the racing world at the Kentucky Derby by dashing past favorite Bodemeister to win.

Like today, Bodemeister led for most of that race as well before being overtaken late by I’ll Have Another.

“I’m just numb; it’s incredible,” said I’ll Have Another trainer Doug O’Neill. “We’re thinking Triple Crown, baby!”
