Dethroned Miss USA pageant runner-up Carrie Prejean visited The View on Tuesday morning to promote her newly released book: “Still Standing: The Untold Story of My Fight Against Gossip, Hate, and Political Attacks.”
She also took the opportunity to defend herself as a looming sextape video threatens to expose her, in more ways than one.
Prejean told The View that the solo sextape she made when she was just 17 years old was the “biggest mistake of my life” and offered her sextape scandal as a warning to other potential on-camera solo actresses.
“In my book, I talk about how young women all the time are doing this and nothing is private any more–nothing is private. And you know when you’re young and you think: I’ll never be famous I’ll never be a celebrity–think you will.”
Carrie Prejean then applauded herself for her speaking about the sextape with the press.
“It’s embarrassing even talking about this right now,” said the former topless model/Fox News poster child. “I’ve been on national TV discussing the worst mistake of my life. I mean, how many people are comfortable doing that?”
Barbara Walters then quipped: “But you did it also because you have a book out”.
“Right,” Prejean replied, before jumping back to her claims that she has been a victim of religious discrimination.
