Dutch reports say that at least two people are dead and several others injured after a speeding car raced toward an open bus carrying Dutch Queen Beatrix and her family.
The incident occurred during a holiday parade on Thursday.
A 38-year-old man who had recently lost his job and was being evicted from his home apparently decided to take out his frustrations on Queen Beatrix and the royal family.
After plowing through the crowd and running into a monument, the car stopped just a few feet from the Queen's bus. The Royal Family was alarmed but unharmed.
"The driver is suspected of trying to attack the royal family," a spokesperson for the Dutch police said.
