Now-unretired quarterback Brett Favre made his second preseason start with the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night, and he played well into the third quarter of the game, which the Vikings won 17-10 versus the Houston Texans.

Favre finished out the contest going 13-of-18 through the air for 142 yards and one TD. What’s getting the most attention, however, is a dangerous illegal hit he put on Texans safety Eugene Wilson in the third quarter.

Favre started the play lined up at wide receiver while as the Minnesota Vikings tried to use the “Wildcat” formation with first-round draft pick Percy Harvin stationed at QB using the shotgun. Just as Percy brought the football around the left side, Favre came in low at Wilson.

Wilson hobbled off of the gridiron while Brett Favre was handed a 15-yard personal foul penalty for an illegal crackback block. He will likely be facing a fine for the crackback block as well.
