Trace Cyrus, Miley’s older brother, has announced on Twitter that he’s engaged to Disney actress Brenda Song.
“I am very excited to say, last week I asked my girlfriend Brenda Song to marry me and she said YES! We are both very excited to be engaged!”
The bride-to-be has chimed is as well, tweeting:
“Thank you guys for your love! I am indeed engaged. Could not be happier xo BS”
Sister Miley Cyrus tweeted her excitement too:
“@TraceCyrus can’t wait for Brenda to be a Cyrus
couldn’t be more excited about my “sister in law to be” yay
The couple has been dating since May of last year, and over the summer, rumors were flying that Song was pregnant with the couple’s first child. No one has yet been able to confirm the pregnancy, but her mother recently said that there was no bun in the oven and “it’s not how we raised her.”
Song, 23, is best known for portraying London Tipton on Disney sitcoms The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, The Suite Life on Deck, and in “The Suite Life Movie”. She also played the jealous ex-girlfriend of Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin in the movie “The Social Network”. At one point, she was briefly linked to teen rocker Joe Jonas.
Cyrus, 22, is a musician who used to be in the band Metro Station and is currently working on an album with his band Ashland HIGH. He also owns clothing line Southern Made Hollywood Paid, and Song is the company’s primary model. Trace dated Disney star Demi Lovato in 2009.
