Brandon Stokley earned his pay today by making a game-winning play for the Denver Broncos…and using his head to boot.
The Denver Broncos were trailing the Cincinnati Bengals 7-6 with 28 seconds left in the fourth quarter with the ball on their own 13-yard line.
Kyle Orton fired a pass down the left sideline, only to have it tipped by the Bengals defense. The ball dropped into the able hands of Brandon Stokley.
Stokley ran the ball back 87 yards for a Broncos touchdown, but not before running sideways for a few seconds to take some time off of the clock.
What a great play for Brandon Stokley and the Denver Broncos. Even Gus Johnson was impressed in the broadcast booth.
