Remember that “top kill” procedure BP was using to try and stop the massive oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico?
Nice try, but FAIL.
A BP exec said today that the effort to contain the worst oil spill in U.S. history was unsuccessful and the company is now ready to consider other options for plugging the leak.
I hope you like your shrimp nice and oily.
The top kill method involved churning mud into the oil well to try and stop the leak.
It is thought that BP will now try plug the leak by cutting off the leaking pipe to get a clean surface, capping it and diverting the leak into another pipe.
Good luck with that.
Oil has been spilling into the Gulf since the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig back in April.
