reno 911 Boston Mother Calls 911 over Sons Video Game Habit

A distraught mother in Boston called 911 because she could not get her 14-year-old son to stop playing video games and go to bed.

Officer Joe Zanoli said on Monday that the mom called for backup around 2:30 a.m. Saturday and informed the operator that her teenage son also went through the house turning on all the lights.  Horrors!

The two police officers who arrived on the scene eventually convinced the boy to listen to his mother and hit the sack.

Zanoli says that the 911 call "was a little unusual, but by no means is it surprising — especially in today's day and age when these kids play video games and computer games."

So what game was so addicting that the boy couldn't pull himself away?  "Grand Theft Auto" of course.
